The king of safety glass - laminated glass

Laminated glass is a combination of two or more glass substrates (toughened or non-toughened glass) sandwiched between sheets of adhesive tape through different lamination processes.

Glass and interlayers are available in a wide range of colors and thicknesses to provide the desired appearance and performance to meet relevant building code standards and customer requirements.

With the advancement of technology and the need for design expression, the types of laminated glass are also diversified, the middle layer has a kind of fabric, paper, wood grain, stone flakes, metal mesh and so on. This type of glass takes into account the strength, weather resistance and transparency of the glass itself, but also through the interlayer in different colors and textures to achieve the designer's creative effect.

Of course, after the synthesis of laminated glass can also be used as a glass substrate, and then processed into a variety of other configurations of glass to meet the performance requirements of various projects, such as hollow laminated LOW-E coated glass.

Laminated film commonly used PVB (polyvinyl butyral) and SGP film, SGP is the U.S. DuPont named the trade name of such products, the actual properties of its material is an ionic polymer interlayer, with more excellent physical properties:

1.Colorless, and highly permeable;

2. low hygroscopicity, can prevent water vapor intrusion

3.Good thermal stability, no degumming at high temperature, and no reduction in carrying capacity.

4. Good light stability, not easy to change color under the action of sunlight

5.Good adhesion, after the glass is broken, there is sufficient residual bearing capacity, and the whole piece will not fall down.

6. Good elasticity, anti-penetration and vibration-absorbing function.

Therefore, in the application of oversized glass or special parts, it is mostly recommended to use SGP laminated glass.

The common standard thickness of PVB film is 0.38mm, 0.76mm, 1.52mm, 2.28mm; the common standard thickness of SGP film is 0.89mm, 1.52mm, 2.28mm.

Types of laminated glass

1.Clear Laminated glass: is made by Clear Float Glass Or Ultra Clear Float Glass And Clear PVB .

       

 

2.Colored Laminated Glass:Can be made by colorful glass ,Or Colorful Pvb ,Just as :Dark blue ,Dark green ,Euro Grey ,Pink and so on .

 

    

 

3.SGP Laminated Glass:SGP or SentryGlas Plus is an interlayer for SGP laminated glass. It is a clear, strong, resilient material that can withstand high impact and extreme temperatures.

SGP interlayer thicknesses vary, with a standard thickness of 125 microns, but thicknesses up to 250 microns are possible.

 

4.Ice cracked glass

Ice cracked glass is a kind of art glass formed by the tempered laminated glass staying intact on the inside of the laminated glass after being broken by human beings. It is generally made of three layers of glass, and the second layer of glass is cracked, because the tempered glass shows granular like ice crack pattern after breaking, so the designers will be applied in the indoor decorative partitions according to its characteristics.

 

5.Mesh Lamination Glass is a type of laminated glass , is the combination of high strength glass and refined structure metal mesh, compressing the glass and wire mesh through metal rollers and then laminated glass wire mesh will be formed.

 

6.Silk Cloth Lamination Glass

When synthesizing laminated glass, a layer of silk fabric or silk cloth is added between the two pieces of glass, which is fused together with the film to ensure the strength of the laminated glass application, presenting a variety of textures and patterns to satisfy the designers' creativity in various designs.
